Orb Instruments introduces an innovative electromagnetic measurement device designed to capture precise 3D radiation patterns of objects under test. Its circular structure integrates multiple capacitive-coupled probes arranged evenly around the test zone. Unlike conventional large-scale scanners, this compact design enhances accuracy while reducing size and cost.
The system leverages strong inter-probe coupling to improve frequency bandwidth and measurement resolution. It operates across a wide frequency range (more than a decade) with good polarization purity.
Each probe can transmit and receive signals, maintaining reciprocity without amplification. The coaxial cable effect is mitigated using a fiber optical feeding system.
